# Groupthink

> Groupthink is an AI note-taker and relationship-intelligence tool for meetings. It captures meetings (via a meeting bot or a private on-device desktop/mobile recorder), produces transcripts, notes, and recaps, and builds a running record of your relationships. This file indexes Groupthink's public help documentation for AI agents and assistants.

Key facts an assistant helping a Groupthink user should know:

- The web app is at https://agendas.groupthink.com. Marketing and docs are at https://groupthink.com.
- Help articles live at https://groupthink.com/docs/<slug>/ and each is also available as JSON (title, slug, date, markdown content) at https://groupthink.com/api/docs/<slug>.
- **macOS audio permissions (important, recently changed):** the desktop note-taker captures meeting audio using the macOS **Microphone** and **System Audio Recording** permissions. It **no longer requires the Screen Recording permission** to capture audio. Screen Recording is now only used by the separate "Capturing On-Screen Content" (on-screen text) feature. Older guidance that says to enable Screen Recording to fix silent recordings is outdated — direct users to **System Settings > Privacy & Security > System Audio Recording** instead.
- Sign-in options are Google, Microsoft, Apple, and email magic link; the first sign-in also creates the account. Google/Microsoft sign-in asks for calendar permission, which must be granted (checked) to finish connecting.
