Groupthink Release Roundup — December 2023

Kaitlin Pike

Welcome to the December Release Roundup, our summary of the most important updates Groupthink has shipped. Love what you’re seeing? Need to give feedback on what we’re shipping? Reach out to us at support@groupthink.com.

Groupthink on iOS

Meeting management on the go! We shipped Groupthink for iOS this month. Get automatic agendas and notes from all of your Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams meetings in just a few swipes. Download now.

Faster Permissions Experience

Too many clicks… no more! We shipped a fix to make the Groupthink experience on Zoom the same as on Teams and Google Meet. Previously, users needed to click “Allow Recording” at the start of every Zoom meeting, which added one more click before you could get into your meeting. Going forward, you can apply that permission to all future requests so you can get in your meeting faster.

New Agenda Notifications

Tired of being labeled a nag? We’ll do it for you. In the “Notifications” section under “Settings” (found in the Org tab), you can now set Meeting Contribution Reminders for meetings to automatically remind event participants to contribute to the agenda before a meeting.

Improved Agenda Search

Finding that old agenda used to be a pain. But we’ve updated to have better semantic search in the Agenda tab search experience. Get what you need faster.

Updated Language to Focus Meeting’s Purpose

Small but powerful change: We’ve updated the prompt at the top of an agenda to ask the leader “Why this meeting exists” so that you never again experience a meeting that starts with “So, what are we talking about today?”

Thanks for reading this month’s Release Roundup. We look forward to sharing the next exciting set of shipments with you in January!
