Dossiers Are Here: Your New Pre-Meeting Superpower

Danielle Morrill

We just launched Dossiers, a new feature of Groupthink that helps you show up to every meeting more prepared and confident. Each dossier gives you a rundown of the people you’re about to meet—automatically sent 24 hours before any meeting with attendees on your calendar, even if there’s no video link attached. Whether it’s your first time connecting or your fiftieth, Dossiers surface useful context so you can make the most of your time together.

What’s Inside a Dossier?

Dossiers combine information from your Groupthink meetings with trusted external sources to give you a well-rounded snapshot. They look like this:

From your meetings:

  • Name of the person you’re meeting with
  • Date of your last meeting (or a note if you’ve never met)
  • Summaries of your most recent 1:1 and group meetings
  • Personal details pulled from transcripts (interests, goals, etc.)
  • Next scheduled meeting
  • Email address
  • Number of meetings you’ve had together

From external sources:

  • Location (work or home city)
  • Employment background
  • Local weather (when possible)
  • Profile picture (via Gravatar or Groupthink avatar)

How It Works

Once you connect your calendar, if you’ve got a meeting coming up within the next two weeks and there are attendees invited, you’ll get a dossier—automatically via email 24 hours before your scheduled event. No setup required.

If your trial runs out of meetings, dossier access will pause until you upgrade.
