Introducing Gmail Integration for Groupthink AI Coworkers

Danielle Morrill

Today we are announcing our new Gmail integration for AI Coworkers. This update brings advanced email processing capabilities that automatically scan your inbox for new messages, extract key details, and turn important messages into actionable tasks.

Example AI Coworker Responsibility: Define What “Important” Means to You

In this example, Groupthink CTO Jonathan Kressaty admits he is really bad at staying on top of his email, but fortunately he now has an AI coworker to help him out. In this video, he demonstrates how he uses Groupthink’s new Gmail skill to configure an AI coworker who will keep an eye out for important messages.

In the instructions prompt for the AI coworker, Jonathan uses natural language to describe what is important to him:

I want you to read the email, and look for signs that it is very important. Don’t be fooled by an email that is phishing or an attempt to sell me something. Focus on things around work tasks like finance/accounting/banking, legal, or feedback from a customer. Pay attention to language that sounds like an action is required on my part, and pay attention to things like deadlines and other words that make it sound like timeliness is important to the sender.

Send me a notification in Slack after you decide the email is important.

What’s New?

The email skill is just the beginning, and you can be as creative as you want about defining responsibilities for your AI Coworker using this skill. Groupthink supports creating unlimited responsibilities and coworkers, so you’re only limited by your creativity.

AI Coworkers can now use Gmail to:

  • detect when a new email or thread is created
  • read emails
  • draft responses to emails
  • archive emails
