Jonathan Kressaty

Welcome new (and returning) users of VI and Groupthink!

For those who may be seeing this email for the first time, we are the founders of Groupthink (formerly VI) and we send this daily email with our progress. The first one was sent January 11th, and things are changing quickly in generative AI space. We love being accountable to you for making Groupthink better every day, and you can reply directly to this message with any questions, feedback or suggestions – and we hope you will!

Groupthink is the place to chat with VI, a GPT-powered AI that reads the internet and connects to your email, browser history, and Slack history to provide personalized responses. Invite your friends and family, collaborate on projects, and make use of Groups and Threads to organize conversations.

When you go to app.meetvi.lol you will be redirected to www.groupthink.ai to login

Use @VI to include the bot in the conversation

To make sure you can chat with friends without being constantly interrupted, VI won’t automatically respond. Instead, you need to @mention them and they’ll know your message was intended for them to process and reply.

Use Groupthink to Collaborate with Friends & Colleagues

You can now create Groups and Threads, and invite others to collaborate. In the thread below I’ve got a group called Daily Email Drafts and I’m collaborating with Jonathan in the thread for today’s email content.

What’s New

  • The sign in, signup, and forgot password forms should all work a bit better with your password manager (thanks Scott for pointing this out!)

What’s Next

  • VI will start to respond to all of your messages when you’re 1:1, but will still need to be @-replied when you’re in a group to get a response
