Your Booking Page
When you send someone one of your availability links, this is the page they open. They do not need a Groupthink account, and they never see one. This page explains what they experience, so you know what you are sending.
The address looks like https://agendas.groupthink.com/book/k3n8x2p9qw4m7t1v. Copy it from Copy link on the link's row in User Settings > Availability.
What They See
Who they are booking with. Your avatar and name sit at the top under Book time with, followed by the link's name and description, how long the meeting is, and where it happens. If you set a Location on the link, that text is shown. If you did not but left Attach a meeting link on, the page reads Video call — link sent with the invite. With no Location and no meeting link, the page says nothing about where, so set one or the other.
Times in their own timezone. Groupthink detects the visitor's timezone and shows every time in it. A Times shown in control at the top lets them change it if the guess is wrong. This is why "2pm your time" stops turning into "2pm my time" in somebody's inbox.
Pick a day, then a time. Under Choose a time sits Pick a day, a row of days each showing how many times are open on it. Choosing one brings up Pick a time on Tuesday underneath, with that day's open times as buttons. On a phone, which is where most of these get opened, the days scroll sideways and the times are full-width.
Their details. Once they pick a time, they enter Your name, an Email (labeled The calendar invite goes here), and an optional note in What's this about?. The note is copied into the calendar invite, so you read it there. A Change button next to the chosen slot takes them back to the picker. Then they click Confirm booking.
The Confirmation
The page reads You're booked and tells them the invite is on its way to the address they entered. It shows the meeting name, the date and time in their timezone, and:
- Join the video call, when the booked event came back with one. A booking that landed on an Outlook calendar has no meeting link even with Attach a meeting link on, so this button is absent. See the limitations in Share your availability.
- The location text, if you set one instead.
- Add it to your own calendar, with a Google Calendar button and an Apple / Outlook (.ics) download. These are there because calendar invites get filtered, and a booking nobody can find is the failure this page exists to prevent.
- A line telling them to reply to the calendar invite if they need to change or cancel, which reaches you directly.
A quiet line at the bottom of the page mentions Groupthink and offers Get your own link. It stays quiet on purpose. This is your page, and a loud advertisement on it reflects on you.
What Happens on Your Side
The meeting appears on the calendar you chose under Book onto, titled with the link's name and the person's name, with both of you invited and a Google Meet link attached when the link asked for one and the calendar is a Google one. It is a normal meeting in Groupthink, not a shadow entry: the person becomes a relationship, the meeting sits on their record, and whatever you learn on the call builds from there. When Something Goes Wrong
The page handles the awkward cases rather than showing a stack trace.

A paused link and a made-up address show the same message on purpose. Telling somebody which of their guesses was close is not information we want to hand out.
The open times refresh on their own about once a minute while they are still picking a time, and stop refreshing as soon as they choose one, so the list cannot shuffle underneath them while they are filling in their details.
Privacy and Abuse
The only thing about your calendar that reaches this page is which times are open. Never a meeting title, never an attendee, never an event. Your booking rules stay private too: buffers, minimum notice, daily caps, and which calendar the meeting lands on are never sent to the page.
The page carries a noindex instruction, so booking links do not turn up in search results. The address is a random 16-character string rather than your name or the link's title, which is what makes guessing one impractical. Requests are rate limited, and the form carries a hidden field that a person never sees and a naive bot fills in, which is enough to turn most automated submissions away without putting a puzzle in front of a real visitor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the person booking need a Groupthink account?
No. The page works signed out, and it never asks them to sign in.
Can they see my other meetings?
No. They see open times and nothing else about your calendar.
Can they cancel or reschedule from this page?
Not yet. The confirmation tells them to reply to the calendar invite, which reaches you directly.
Will the link keep working if I rename it?
Yes. The web address is generated once and never changes when you edit the link. Only pausing or deleting the link stops it working.
Does a booking show up in my relationships?
Yes. The person who booked becomes a relationship, and the meeting is on their record like any other. See After Someone Books.
Can two people book the same time?
No. Groupthink re-reads your live calendar before it accepts a booking, and reserves the slot in a way that lets only one request win a tie. The person who lost sees that the time was just taken and picks again from a refreshed list.
Will the page show up in Google?
No. It carries a noindex instruction and its address is random, so the only people who see it are the people you sent it to.
