Improving the Invitation Experience

Welcome new (and returning) users! For those who may be seeing this email for the first time, we are the founders of Groupthink and we send this daily email with our progress.

Streamlined Group Invitations

We’ve heard feedback from several of you that inviting others to Groupthink has its quirks and bugs, and we’ve worked on some of those this week. You’ll start to notice a few updates when inviting others to your Groups:

  • Inviting someone who already has a Groupthink account will send them a different email with a link directly to the Group they’ve been invited to
  • Trying to access a group you cannot see will not load anything, allowing you to select a Group from the sidebar you want to work in
  • Visiting a Group you’ve been invited to will now pop a modal asking if you’d like to accept or reject the invitation

We’re continuing to work on the Group invitation experience, and welcome your feedback!

What’s Next

We (Elle and Jonathan) are hanging in person next week and will be thinking about our product strategy moving forward. We’re working on selecting some specific use-cases to focus on, as well as documenting our opinions and hypotheses as we continue to iterate and experiment.
