Where Groupthink's Memory Comes From

Every way Groupthink learns about the people in your life, what each one reads, and whether it is on.

On this page

Groupthink remembers the people in your life from a set of sources. Some run on their own once you connect them. Some only run when you hand Groupthink something. A few are off until you turn them on. This page lists all of them in one place, with a link to each source's own page for the details.

Everything Groupthink keeps about a person is private to you, and each fact names where it came from.

How to read the tables

  • Starts says whether a source runs on its own once it is connected, or only when you do something.
  • Counts as says which date on the person it moves. Groupthink keeps two: Last meeting (a live conversation, in person, on a call, or on video) and Last contact (anything asynchronous, such as a text or an email). Both appear as columns in your people list, and either one keeps someone off the Going Cold list. "Nothing" means the source adds to what you know about the person without moving either date.

Turning a source off

Each source's own page explains how to disconnect it or turn it off. Turning a source off stops new information from coming in. What it already added stays on the person, and you can export everything at any time.
