How the notetaker joins your meetings

Choose how the notetaker joins, add it to one meeting or take it out, start notes yourself, and let recording start on its own.

On this page

Once a Groupthink notetaker is on your call, the rest is automatic. It captures the conversation, builds a full transcript, files notes against the items you discuss, and generates a recap after the meeting ends. You do not have to type anything to get notes, and you can still edit or add to them yourself at any time.

Heads up: Starting a notetaker, whether the visible bot or private desktop capture, requires an active trial or paid plan. Without one, the notetaker will not start.

Summary

  • Choose once how the notetaker joins, under How should Groupthink attend your meetings? in Today > Calendar & booking: Privately Take Notes, Automatically Join All Meetings, or Let Me Choose Each Time.
  • To add it to one meeting on your calendar, click Add Notetaker on the meeting on Today. To start it right away, click Start Notetaker on the agenda, or paste a call link with + New and Join by link….
  • To keep it out of a meeting, choose Remove Groupthink from the meeting's ⋮ button before it starts. During the meeting, a Host on the agenda can click Stop Taking Notes.
  • While the desktop app is open, it starts private notes for your meetings on its own when they begin.
  • Groupthink does not give you a video recording of your meetings. You get a transcript, notes and a recap.

Choose How It Joins

There are two ways the notetaker gets into a call:

  • Automatically, based on your calendar and your attendance setting
  • Manually, when you want notes for a specific call

There are two ways Groupthink can take notes on a meeting:

  • Public with Bot: Groupthink joins your call as a visible participant and shares notes with everyone on the agenda.
  • Private with App: Groupthink records locally through the desktop app. Nothing joins the call, and the notes are visible only to you.

Both paths produce the same things automatically: a transcript, notes attached to the agenda, and a recap once the meeting is over.

Choose how Groupthink attends your meetings once, and it applies to your future calls. This setting lives in Today > Calendar & booking, in the Calendars section, under the heading How should Groupthink attend your meetings? It is a single choice that applies to all of your future meetings.

Option What it does
Privately Take Notes Groupthink records privately through the desktop app. No bot joins the call and other participants do not see Groupthink.
Automatically Join All Meetings The Groupthink notetaker joins your meetings as a visible participant and shares notes with attendees.
Let Me Choose Each Time Nothing joins automatically. You add the notetaker to specific calls yourself when you want notes.

If you want to decide meeting by meeting, choose Let Me Choose Each Time. Nothing will join on its own, and you add the notetaker to the calls you pick using the steps below.

On iPhone, the same three options are at the top of Settings > Calendars in the Groupthink app. Your choice there and on the web is the same setting, so changing it in one place changes it in the other. Privately Take Notes still records through the desktop app, so the app needs to be running on your computer for those meetings.

To use calendar-based and automatic features, connect your Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar. This lets Groupthink see your meetings and the conferencing details attached to them. You can still capture an impromptu call without a calendar connection by pasting its link, as described below.

For the full walkthrough of how to fine-tune which meetings Groupthink attends, see Connect your calendar.

Add It to One Meeting

When your calendar is connected, your scheduled meetings appear on Today. Each meeting that does not have Groupthink on it yet shows an Add Notetaker dropdown. Today's meetings are the cards under Prep for today, and each later day lists its events.

  1. Click Today in the sidebar. A meeting happening today is under Prep for today. For a meeting on a later day, use the › arrow to step forward to that day.
  2. Find the meeting you want and click Add Notetaker on it. This opens a short menu.
  3. Choose how the notetaker should attend:
    • Add followed by your notetaker's name and your conferencing provider (for example Add Dana Lee's notetaker to Zoom, Meet, or Teams; the name is set under Settings, Meetings, Bot identity). The bot joins the call as a visible participant and shares notes with everyone.
    • Add Invisible Note Taker to privately take notes on your desktop (Windows or macOS) without a visible bot in the call.

Groupthink will join that event when it starts. For a meeting today, you can do this before the meeting or while it is happening. A meeting that Groupthink reads as in person, with no call link, has no Add Notetaker button on Today: see More About the Add Notetaker Button.

Capture a Meeting Without a Visible Bot

If you would rather not send a visible bot into the call, you can still capture the meeting privately. This uses Private Desktop Recording, where you capture the meeting yourself rather than having a notetaker join.

  • On a meeting on Today, or on a calendar event on a later day, click Add Notetaker and choose Add Invisible Note Taker to record locally on your desktop. If a notetaker is already attached to the meeting, click the ⋮ (three-dot) button instead; the option there reads Swap to Invisible Note Taker. The subtext reads Privately take notes on desktop (Windows or macOS).
  • From the Start Notetaker menu, choose Private with App to record the current call locally instead of sending the bot.

In both cases, Groupthink records through the desktop app, so other participants do not see a bot in the meeting. When the meeting occurs, use the Groupthink Desktop App to capture it privately. For setup and details, see our Private Desktop Recording guide.

Start Notes Yourself

Add Notetaker and Start Notetaker add the same notetaker. Add Notetaker is on a meeting on your calendar, today or on a later day, and sets the notetaker for that meeting. Start Notetaker is on an agenda and starts the notetaker right away, for a meeting today or for a call whose link you paste.

From the Meeting's Agenda

This starts the notetaker right away, so do it when the call is starting. Use this way if the meeting's card has no Add Notetaker option, for example an in-person meeting with no call link. For an in-person conversation, choose Private with App.

  1. Open the meeting. On Today, click Open agenda on the meeting's card.
  2. On the agenda, click Start Notetaker.
  3. Choose how the notetaker should attend:
    • Public with Bot sends the Groupthink notetaker into the call as a visible participant to take and present notes. What happens next depends on whether the meeting has a call link: see The Start the Notetaker Window.
    • Private with App records the call locally through the Groupthink desktop app, with nothing visible to other participants.

The Private with App option needs the Groupthink desktop app. On the web, choosing it opens a prompt to download the desktop app, because the web app cannot record privately. If you already have the app, open it and start the meeting there. See Private Desktop Recording for setup and troubleshooting.

If the agenda shows a form and no Start Notetaker button, see When the Agenda Shows a Form.

From the Sidebar

At the top of the left sidebar, next to the capture box, there is a solid + New button. Everything you can start from the sidebar lives in its menu.

New Google Meet. Choose New Google Meet to start a fresh call right away. Groupthink creates a new Google Meet, opens it in a new tab, and adds the notetaker so your conversation is captured from the start. This item always creates a Meet. To start a Zoom or Teams call, create it in that app and use Join by link… below.

Record on this Mac. In the Groupthink desktop app, the menu also offers Record on this Mac for a private local recording. On the web the same row reads Get the desktop app to record, because a browser cannot record. See Private Desktop Recording.

For a Call That Is Not on Your Calendar

Use Join by link… for a call that is not on your calendar, or one that is already happening or already scheduled. You paste the meeting link and Groupthink joins right away. The call does not need to be on your calendar.

  1. Open + New at the top of the left sidebar and choose Join by link…. You can also open the agenda you want to use, click Start Notetaker, and choose Public with Bot from the menu.
  2. In the Start the Notetaker window, paste your call link into the Meeting URL field. The placeholder reads Paste your Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams link here.
  3. Click Start Notetaker.
  4. If your call uses a lobby or host admission, admit the Groupthink notetaker when it requests to join. See When the notetaker doesn't join or isn't let in.

Groupthink joins the call as a participant and begins taking notes. The same flow works for Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams links.

For how the meeting is named and linked to people, see Calls You Join by Link.

Remove It

Sometimes you may not want the Groupthink notetaker to join a specific meeting, or you may prefer to take notes privately on your desktop instead (see Capture a Meeting Without a Visible Bot). Groupthink gives you several ways to remove the notetaker, whether you are planning ahead, already in the meeting, or working from your conferencing app.

Remove the Notetaker Ahead of Time

You can stop the notetaker from joining a meeting before it starts.

  1. Click Today in the Groupthink navigation sidebar. A meeting happening today is under Prep for today. For a meeting on a later day, use the › arrow to step forward to that day
  2. Find the meeting you want to change
  3. Click the ⋮ (three-dot) button on the meeting
  4. Select Remove Groupthink

The notetaker will no longer join that meeting when it occurs. A meeting that has ended has no ⋮ button. If you are invited to the meeting but are not its host, the ⋮ button is greyed out and reads Attendees may not make modifications when you point at it. To bring the notetaker back, see Add the Notetaker Back.

Remove the Notetaker During a Meeting

If a meeting is already underway, a Host on the agenda can stop the notetaker from inside Groupthink.

  1. Open the agenda for the meeting. You can reach it from Today, or from the link shared in your Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams chat
  2. In the meeting box on the agenda, click Stop Taking Notes
  3. The notetaker stops taking notes

Hosts on the agenda see Stop Taking Notes. Participants and Viewers don't see it. The meeting's ⋮ button is unavailable while a meeting is being recorded, so Remove Groupthink is for meetings that have not started yet. You can also remove it from your conferencing app: see Remove from Your Conferencing App.

Auto-Start Recording

Groupthink can start recording the moment your meeting begins, and move you smoothly between back-to-back meetings, so you never lose the first few minutes of a conversation to manual setup.

Two behaviors work together:

  • Desktop app, in the background: while the desktop app is open, it starts private notes for your meetings on its own, even when its window is hidden
  • On an agenda page: when you are on the agenda page of a meeting that is in progress, recording begins based on your calendar attendance preference

Plus a third behavior for chained meetings: a transition card on the recap when your next meeting is starting soon. See Back-to-Back Meeting Transitions. To stop meetings from auto-recording, see How to Turn Off Auto-Start.

Private Notes Start on Their Own in the Desktop App

While the desktop app is open, it keeps an eye on your calendar. Within about half a minute of a meeting that Groupthink takes private notes for beginning, the app opens that meeting's agenda and starts recording. It does not bring its window to the front or take over your screen, so this works with the window hidden in the tray. It starts only meetings that meet a few conditions: see When Private Notes Start on Their Own.

When the Groupthink notetaker is set to join a meeting, it joins on its own. The app does not need to be open for that.

Opening Groupthink during a meeting does not take you to that meeting. Open its agenda page yourself, and if your attendance setting calls for it, recording starts there.

How Auto-Start Works on an Agenda Page

Once you are on an agenda page with an in-progress meeting, what happens next depends on your calendar attendance setting.

Attendance setting In-progress meeting What happens
Privately Take Notes Yes Private recording starts (desktop app only)
Automatically Join All Meetings Yes The Groupthink bot joins and starts recording
Let Me Choose Each Time Yes No auto-start. You see the manual prompt as before
Any No No auto-start

The setting lives in Today > Calendar & booking. See User Settings or Connect your calendar for how to set it. For the details (one start per event, start links, task blocks), see More About Auto-Start on an Agenda Page.

Add a Note by Voice During a Call

During a meeting, you can add a note just by saying it out loud. Groupthink picks it up from the transcript, which is handy when your hands are busy or you're screen-sharing.

These notes don't show up anywhere yet. Groupthink records the note with the meeting, but the recap and the meeting page do not display voice notes today. What you said is still in the transcript, so you can find it there.

Start with "Groupthink," then say your note:

  • "Groupthink, add a note: we agreed to push the launch to Q3"
  • "Groupthink, add a note to follow up with the vendor"
  • "Groupthink, take a note: the budget is approved"

"Add a note" and "take a note" both work, with or without a colon. Groupthink records the text after the trigger as a note on the meeting.

  • Begin the command with "Groupthink." It's detected automatically from the transcript, with no wake word to set up and no button to press.
  • Works whether Groupthink is in the meeting as a bot or you're capturing the meeting with the desktop note-taker.
  • Ordinary conversation isn't turned into notes.

What the Notetaker Captures

While the notetaker is on the call, Groupthink:

  • Transcribes the conversation as it happens.
  • Files notes against the agenda item being discussed, matched by when each part of the conversation happened. You do not need to add a description to an item for this to work.
  • Generates a recap, including topics, decisions, and follow-ups, automatically once the meeting ends.

With the recap, Groupthink writes a short title that says what kind of meeting it was and what was talked about. See Meeting Names and Recap Titles.

You can edit any note by hand. Every note item is a free-form text field, so you can add thoughts, questions, or anything else alongside what Groupthink captured.

The capture mode you choose determines whether anything joins the call, and which agenda the meeting lands on. Who can read the notes afterwards follows from the agenda: see Note Access and Permissions, and Private vs. Shared Notes below.

If the notetaker did not join, or was never let in, see When the notetaker doesn't join or isn't let in.

More About the Add Notetaker Button

Once the meeting has started, the card on Today can show a ⋮ button in place of Add Notetaker. It opens the same menu, except while the notetaker is already running in that meeting, when the button is greyed out. A meeting that has ended has no button.

A meeting that Groupthink reads as in person and that has no call link, such as a dinner at a restaurant, has no Add Notetaker button. Its card shows the place from the calendar event in place of a call. Click Mark as a call next to the place to bring the button back, or start the notetaker from the agenda as described in From the Meeting's Agenda. This applies only to the cards on Today; an event on a later day keeps its Add Notetaker button.

A meeting that already has a notetaker shows a line such as Dana Lee's notetaker will join Zoom and the ⋮ button. To take the notetaker off, see Remove It.

The Start the Notetaker Window

If the meeting has a call link, the Start the Notetaker window opens with the link already in the Meeting URL field. Once the field holds a Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams link, the window title names the service, for example Start the Notetaker in Zoom. Click Start Notetaker. If the meeting has no call link, the window opens with the field empty so you can paste one. If you use Google Calendar, Groupthink instead creates a new Google Meet for the meeting, adds the notetaker for you, and opens it in a new tab.

When the Agenda Shows a Form

If the agenda shows a form and no Start Notetaker button, you are on the web and the agenda has no upcoming calendar event to join. For example, the meeting's scheduled end time has passed, the notetaker was removed from it, or the event was declined or deleted. Check that the call link is in the Meeting URL field, paste it if not, and click Start Notetaker. If you use Google Calendar, click Already in a meeting? Add your Meet, Teams, or Zoom URL first to reach that field.

If the agenda has no call link and you use Google Calendar, choosing Public with Bot creates a new Google Meet instead of opening the window. To paste a link in that case, use + New and Join by link…, and the Start the Notetaker window opens with the Meeting URL field ready.

If the call is on one of your connected calendars and starts within an hour of when you paste the link, the meeting is set up as if you had started it from your calendar: it is named after the event and the event's guests are linked to it, so Send recap to attendees works as it does for any calendar meeting. If two different events in that hour use the same link, Groupthink does not guess and links neither.

If the call is not on your calendar, the meeting takes the call's own title once the notetaker joins, when Zoom or Teams provides one. It is called New Meeting only when there is no title to use, and a name you gave the meeting is never replaced. After the recap, a meeting still called New Meeting or the call's own title takes the recap's title as its name. A meeting named after a calendar event keeps that name, and the recap's title shows on a line under it (see Meeting Names and Recap Titles). On the meeting's recap page, a Who was this with? box lists the names the notetaker saw on the call. For each name, choose Link to followed by your contact of that name, Add as new to make a new contact (the button reads Add followed by the name when you have no contact of that name), or Not them to stop suggesting it. Nobody is linked until you choose.

Add the Notetaker Back

If you decide you want the notetaker after all, find the same meeting again. When no notetaker is attached, the control is a button labeled Add Notetaker. On Today, an event that Groupthink reads as in person and that has no video link has no Add Notetaker button; click Mark as a call on its card to bring it back. Click Add Notetaker and choose how the notetaker should attend, as in Add It to One Meeting.

Remove from Your Conferencing App

You can also remove the notetaker directly from your video conferencing software by removing it like any other participant. Refer to your conferencing app documentation for the exact steps. This works the same as removing any guest from the call. Anyone with the rights to do so in your conferencing app can remove the notetaker there.

Meeting Names and Recap Titles

With the recap, Groupthink writes a short title that says what kind of meeting it was and what was talked about, such as "Coaching with Alejo: staffing at home, the move, hiring". The title names a decision only when the conversation shows it was actually made in the meeting.

A meeting on your calendar keeps its calendar title as its name, and the recap's title shows on a quieter line under it. A meeting with no title of its own, such as New Meeting or the call's own Zoom or Teams title, takes the recap's title as its name instead. A name you gave the meeting is never replaced.

On the web, the line under the name shows on the meeting's recap page, on an agenda's list of past meetings, in Past Interactions, on a person's timeline, in meeting search results, on the Debriefs needed rows on Today, and under Recent meetings on an attendee card in a meeting's prep. On iPhone, it shows in grey under the name on the meeting screen, on Interactions rows, and in a person's history. The line is left out when it would repeat the name already shown. Search in Past Interactions matches words in the recap's title as well as the meeting's name.

Meetings recapped before October 15, 2026 have no line under their name, and a calendar title that an earlier recap already replaced is not put back. Meetings recapped before October 13, 2026 keep the title they already had.

Private vs. Shared Notes

Private notes (Private with App)

  • Recorded through the Groupthink desktop app. Nothing joins the call.
  • Visible only to you, because the meeting lands on an agenda with only you on it.
  • Marked Private on the meeting's card and header (hover: Private Recording). In a narrow window the chip shows only ✨.
  • A good fit for confidential calls or your own running notes.

The 📝 Your private notes label is a different thing and is not a privacy indicator for the meeting. It labels the personal notes box, which appears on every agenda, shared ones too, and means only that the box itself is yours alone.

Shared notes (Public with Bot)

  • Created when the Groupthink bot joins your meeting.
  • Visible to everyone on the agenda by default.
  • Support collaborative editing during and after the meeting.

Switching Between Private and Shared

You can switch a meeting between private and shared capture from the meeting's three-dot menu on your calendar:

  1. Open the calendar event.
  2. Click the three-dot menu.
  3. Choose Swap to Invisible Note Taker to go private, or Swap to <Bot> Joining <Conference> to go shared.
  4. Confirm in the dialog that appears (Switch to Private Notes? or Switch to Shared Notes?). For a single meeting, click Switch to Private or Switch to Shared. For a recurring meeting, you can apply the change with Switch For This Event or Switch For All In Series.

A few things to know before you switch:

  • Switching to private removes everyone else. Other people on the agenda lose access to the agenda and its notes, including past meetings on it. Their content is not copied into a separate private agenda, so switching to private is not a way to keep a copy for yourself. One exception: someone who was sent a meeting's recap, was gifted it, or attended that meeting keeps access to that one meeting.
  • Switching to shared starts fresh. Your private agenda stays private, and a new blank shared agenda is created. If you want anything from your private notes in the shared one, move it over yourself.

When Private Notes Start on Their Own

The desktop app starts a meeting only when all of these are true:

  • The meeting is one Groupthink takes private notes for.
  • Your attendance setting is not Let Me Choose Each Time.
  • The calendar event has a video meeting link. A focus block or lunch with no link is never recorded.
  • It is not a task block. A block only you are on, that you made, is a to-do and not a meeting, even when it has a video link. See Task blocks.
  • If you are the only person on the event, or Groupthink reads it as in person, the video link is a real one. Groupthink's own private notes link does not count. For an in-person event, such as dinner at a restaurant, this holds even when other people are on it.
  • The meeting is in progress and is no longer than six hours. Nothing starts on its own after the event's end time.
  • Notes have not already run for that event. If a recording stops, for example because nobody spoke, the app does not start a second one.
  • You have not already ended or removed Groupthink from that meeting.

You can still take notes on any of these yourself: open the event's agenda page and start notes there.

More About Auto-Start on an Agenda Page

  • Private recording requires the desktop app. If your attendance is set to Privately Take Notes but you are on the web, Groupthink will not auto-start (you cannot record privately from a browser). A note on the agenda page says why and points you to the desktop app. Open the desktop app instead.
  • One start per event. Auto-start fires once for an event. It does not fire again if you stay on the page, and it does not fire again once notes have run for that event and stopped.
  • Task blocks never auto-start. Opening the agenda page of a task block while it is in progress does not start recording. Neither does opening an event that only you are on and that has no video link, or an event Groupthink reads as in person with no video link, even when other people are on it. If such an event is a call, click Mark as a call on its card on Today, and opening its agenda page while it runs starts recording again like any other meeting. Start notes yourself on the page if you want them.
  • URL triggers still work. Opening an agenda with ?start=1 still starts recording, the same as before, up to 30 minutes after the event's end time. It does not start on a task block, or on an event whose notes already ran and ended.
  • Shared agendas work the same way. If the meeting is in progress and your attendance setting calls for auto-start, recording begins regardless of whether you created the agenda or someone else did.

When a start link does not start notes, or nothing starts because the meeting has no video link, see When Auto-Start Does Not Start Notes.

Back-to-Back Meeting Transitions

Once your meeting has ended, if your next one starts within the next 10 minutes, Groupthink shows a transition card at the top of the recap. The card shows how soon the next meeting starts and includes an Open notes button that takes you to the next agenda. When you click Open notes, you land on the next meeting's agenda. If your attendance setting auto-starts recording, the recording begins there as well.

State What you see
Next meeting 3 or more minutes away Blue card: "Starts in X min"
Next meeting less than 3 minutes away Blue card: "Starting now"
Next meeting started in the last 2 minutes Yellow card: a line that starts with "Started", such as "Started a minute ago"

The card shows on the recap from 10 minutes before the next meeting starts until about 2 minutes after. If you missed it and ended up on the wrong meeting, during that time you can click Open notes, or navigate to the next meeting from your calendar.

How to Turn Off Auto-Start

Auto-start follows your calendar attendance setting. To stop meetings from auto-recording:

  1. Go to Today > Calendar & booking
  2. Change the attendance setting to Let Me Choose Each Time. It saves as soon as you pick it.

This also turns Auto-join off on every calendar you have connected, so Groupthink no longer starts recording until you click the button yourself, on an agenda page or in the desktop app. A meeting you added the notetaker to yourself still gets it. To have one calendar join on its own again, turn its Auto-join toggle back on in the same place. It stays on.

Auto-Start With More Than One Calendar

Can I auto-start the bot but not private recording (or vice versa)? Yes, by choosing the right attendance setting. Set the calendar to Automatically Join All Meetings for bot-only auto-start, or Privately Take Notes (with the desktop app open) for private-only auto-start.

What if I have multiple calendars connected with different settings? Choosing Privately Take Notes copies that setting to every calendar you have connected, so a meeting that syncs through a second account stays private too. Choosing Automatically Join All Meetings turns private notes off on your other calendars too, so any of them that already join automatically send the bot instead. It does not start auto-joining on a calendar that was set to join manually. Choosing Let Me Choose Each Time turns the Auto-join toggle off on every calendar you have connected. You can turn one back on afterwards with its own toggle (see Turning Auto-join On or Off per Calendar), and it stays on. On an agenda page and in the desktop app, auto-start follows the setting of your main calendar. When the notetaker joins on its own, it follows the calendar the meeting is on. Opening the agenda page of a meeting on another of your calendars does not send the notetaker on its own when that calendar's Auto-join is off or that calendar is set to Privately Take Notes.

Does Groupthink Give Me a Video Recording?

No. Groupthink does not give you a video recording of your meetings. There is no video in Groupthink to watch, download, or share.

That is how the product works, not a setting you have missed. Groupthink captures what a meeting produced, the decisions, commitments and context, rather than a film you would have to rewatch to get at them. If you want a video file of a call, record it with your conferencing provider. Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams each have their own recording feature, and Groupthink runs alongside that without conflict.

What you get instead

Transcript The full text of what was said, with speakers attributed.
Summary and notes The recap: decisions, action items, and the things worth remembering.
On-screen content (optional) If you turn on on-screen content capture, Groupthink reads the text from a window you choose, a slide, a dashboard, a spreadsheet, and files it under Shown on screen in the recap.

I am looking for the video of a past meeting. Where is it? There is not one to find. Open the meeting recap instead: the transcript and notes are the record of what happened. For future meetings, turn on recording in your conferencing provider before the call if you need a video file.

The notetaker joined my call. Can I get its recording? No. The notetaker joins to capture the meeting for your transcript and notes, and it does not hand back a video for you to watch or download. On its video tile it shows a static identity slide with its name rather than a feed of the conversation or your notes.

Is on-screen content capture the same as screen recording? No, and the name invites the confusion. On-screen content capture reads the text off a single window you pick. It runs on your Mac. The text on screen is sent, with the window title and the app name. No image is sent, and images of your screen are never stored. It produces no video.

macOS asks for Screen Recording permission before it will let any app read a window, so you will see that system prompt and the purple menu-bar indicator while it runs. That is the operating system's wording for reading the screen, not a sign that Groupthink is recording video.

Can I get a video if I turn on screen capture? No. See above: it captures text, not pictures and not video.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a paid plan? Yes. Adding the Groupthink notetaker to a meeting requires an active trial or paid plan. If your trial has ended, upgrade from User Settings > Account > Billing to keep capturing meetings.

Which video platforms work? Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. You can paste any Meet, Zoom, or Teams link when you start the notetaker manually.

Will removing the notetaker delete my notes? No. Removing the notetaker stops it from capturing the rest of the meeting going forward. Any notes and transcripts already captured before you removed it remain available.

Do I have to say "Groupthink" to add a voice note? Yes, for now. Start the command with "Groupthink" even if you've given your meeting bot a custom name. Triggering by a custom name is on our list.

The voice note didn't show up. What happened? Voice notes are not shown on the recap or the meeting page yet. Search the transcript for what you said instead.

Can I mute the agent or get a summary by voice? Not yet. Adding notes is the first voice command; more may follow.
